Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) required a modern Advanced Distribution Management System capable of supporting network visibility, fault management and outage restoration across a large and growing distribution network, with the twin-control-centre resilience needed for a mission-critical utility operation.

Architecture & platforms involved
The programme is built on an ADMS platform combining DMS and OMS applications, deployed across two control centres for resilience, with connectivity to field devices and distribution-network data sources.
Integration complexity
Delivering ADMS at this scale required integrating control-room applications with distribution-network data, coordinating switching and outage workflows, and validating performance across a twin-control-centre configuration designed for continuity of operations.
Control-centre arrangement
The system operates across two control centres, supporting redundancy and continuity of critical distribution-management functions for the utility.
Implementation methodology
Delivery followed a staged approach, configuration and integration, factory and site acceptance testing, control-centre commissioning, and operator handover, consistent with the lifecycle ACSIS applies across its SCADA/ADMS programmes.
